We’re celebrating Pride Month in June because of the Stonewall riots in June 1969 and it was Black trans and queer people at the front, fighting for the rights of queer people. With the current events, it’s especially important to not just celebrate queer books, but to highlight those by Black authors (and that goes all year long, not just in June).
Here is a list of Black (adult) science fiction and fantasy authors and their books featuring queer main characters.
