Spreadsheet:
Books 2020

It’s that time of the year again! Ready to start a new spreadsheet and track all your reading and book buying? I’ve got you covered!

For those already familiar with my spreadsheet(s), there aren’t any changes to the one from 2019, so you can just go ahead and use it again. For those new to the spreadsheet, two VERY important notes:

  • You won’t get access to my own spreadsheet. Instead you’ll have to make your own copy via File > Make a copy.
  • READ THIS MANUAL.

The spreadsheet

I’m not going to explain much about the spreadsheet because that’s all in the manual linked above. Just some general hints and tips:

  • Date format: MM/DD/YYYY
  • Number format: decimals with a dot
  • Duration as HH:MM:SS (audiobook length), typing HH:MM will be enough! The spreadsheet adds the seconds on its own
  • Challenges aren’t a feature of the spreadsheet, but you can track them via tags!

If you have any problems, feel free to ask!

Open the spreadsheet and make yourself a copy via File > Make a copy.

  • Hi Crini,

Thanks for all your hard work on this form! I am in the process of adding my books and I just noticed that the Number of Series is not updating. It says for Number of Series: 1 and for Books in Series: 14. The number of books in series is correct; however I have 7 Series. Is there a way I can fix it without messing up the formatting.

    Thanks,
    Erica

    • Mmmh, I just tested my own spreadsheet again and it was working so it’s hard to say what the issue might be. Could you maybe give me access to your own spreadsheet so I can have a look?

  • Hi,

Will adding links to the title of books mess with anything?

  • Hi,
Thank you so much for the spreadsheet. I have been trying to create one for myself for so long but it was near as amazing as yours. Would it mess up the formulas if I rearranged the rows on the “Read” sheet?

    Thanks
    Dari

    • that shouldn’t make any problems. Only columns shouldnt be put in different orders
