This post is part of my diverse reads feature, where I list all the diverse books I’ve read in a given month.
This is how you Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone
Sapphic, enemies to lovers, and time travel just make the best combination! I love this one so much, this was already a reread for me.
Ancestral Night by Elizabeth Bear
#lesbiansinspace
Another reread for me. Not just queer, but also features found family and an AI which I loved.
The Four profound Weaves by R.B. Lemberg
Watch out for this novella coming out this summer!
It features a trans man and a trans woman, both in their 60s and was just a beautiful, sad yet also hopeful story.
Amateur Orbit by Mary Robinette Kowal
A new Lady Astronaut short story to be published later this year.
This one features a black woman.
Zero Sum Game + Null Set by S.L. Huang
Cas Russell is one of my absolute favorite female characters and her math super powers are just amazing.
She’s also a woman of color.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Wow, did this book make me feel seen! (and not just thanks to the main character)
This book features a bisexual of color (biracial) and a latinx MC with lots of other queer side characters.
The Seep by Chana Porter
Sadly, me and this novella just didn’t click but still worth mentioning for its rep: sapphic, trans MC (f/f relationship) in her 50s
Untamed Shore by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
I loved this historical mystery, set in Mexico and featuring a latinx MC.
