My top 5 most anticipated releases of 2022: all queer, and coincidentally, all science fiction.

Every now and then I come across a book that just screams FUY ROAD!!! at me. Books that combine all the things I love so very much about that movie.
If you are like me and can’t get enough of Mad Max: Fury Road, need you fix of stories with similar settings and world building, I’ve got you covered with a list of queer science fiction books combining those elements.

I always try to come up with new ideas for lists focusing on my two favorite things: science fiction and queer representation. So I thought why not highlight a favorite for each year of the last decade, my top ten science fiction books from and about queer voices!?

My top 5 picks for books I would love to have with me while stranded on a deserted island.

For July we chose the topic of “genre hybrids” and obviously I would put a queer spin on it, duh. BUT…. while choosing my top 5 books, I quickly realized it didn’t just want to list my overall top 5 genre hybrid books (which would be hard!) but instead introduce you to my favorite, let’s call it sub-genre, ever: “Space Witches”.

Pride Month is once again over but that doesn’t mean we stop reading and promoting queer books. In this house we read and promote queer science fiction and fantasy all year long. And July is another epic month for queer SFF releases, including my most anticipated  sequel to one of my absolute favorite books. July is all about the series, we have multiple new ones starting, highly anticipated sequels and one series is coming to an end this month.

This year’s Pride Month is slowly coming to an end and what better way to wrap it all up than featuring some of my favorite queer books!? Find out wish of the many queer adult SFF releases of 2021 made it onto my Top Ten list.
